Leh, Nov 12: During the visit of newly elected Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson, Dy. Chairman Tsering Angchuk, Executive Councillors Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Executive Councillor Stanzin Chosphel, BJP Councillors headed by Member Parliament Ladakh and State BJP President Jamyang Tsering Namgyal to Delhi, the delegation met with Dr. Jitender Singh MoS PMO at New Delhi today.
It is the first visit of Delhi by the members of 6th LAHDC, Leh after retaining power in LAHDC, Leh election recently by securing absolute majority in 26 member LAHDC, Leh election held in the month of October.
MP JTN introduced newly elected Chairman, Dy. Chairman, ECs and Councillors to the Minister and requested him to visit Ladakh soon to review UT Ladakh setup.
The issues and demands taken up with Dr. Jitender Singh MoS PMO were creation of UPSE Examination center in Ladakh, capping in air fare for locals especially during winter months, inclusion of Bhoti language in school syllabus in line with north eastern states.
Discussion was also held regarding Public State Commission for UT Ladakh.
